हिमालय एअरलाइन्स्ले गौतमबुद्ध अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलबाट उडान सञ्चालन गर्ने तयारी गरेको छ । यस सिलसिलामा यस एअरलाइन्स्लाई त्रिभुवन विमानस्थलमा सेल्फ ग्राउन्ड हैन्डिलिन्ग तथा गौतम बुद्ध विमानस्थलमा कमर्सियल ग्राउन्ड हैन्डिलिन्ग अनुमति दिने नेपाल नागरिक उडड्यन प्राधिकरणले आश्वासन दिएको छ । यस अनुसार एअरलाइन्स्ले गौतमबुद्ध अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलबाट आफ्नो पहिलो अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय गन्तव्यको रूपमा क्वालालम्पुर नियमित चार्टर उडान गर्नेछ । नेपाल र मलेसियाको नागरिक उड्डयन प्राधिकरण र अन्य सान्दर्भिक ओभरफ्लाईङ इजाजतपत्र प्राप्त भए पश्चात ०३ नोभेम्बर २०२२, बिहीबारदेखि उडान सञ्चालन हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ ।

Himalaya Airlines Mount Everest Expedition Team comprising of its Senior Flight Attendant, Miss Omnika Dangol made a historic ascent of Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain on May 16, 2022. Ms. Omnika Dangol, the flight attendant of Himalaya Airlines summited the 8848.86 meters high Mount Everest at 07:30 am local time on Monday with the expedition team of Thamserku Treks and Expeditions. Ms. Dangol safely returned to Kathmandu on May 20, 2022 and was warmly welcomed by Himalaya team at their Head Office, Gairidhara.

Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China-Joint Venture has become the first airline in Nepal to successfully achieve ISO 9001-2015 QMS certification. The airline has received the certificate on Dec 29, 2021 in recognition of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) which complies with ISO 9001-2015. The airlines earned the ISO certificate for “Providing Air Transport for Traveling Passengers and Freight, including Aviation Related Training Services”.

Moving one step ahead in its CSR undertakings to support the nation, Himalaya Airlines operated its first humanitarian flight to Kabul, Afghanistan today, carrying 9.7 tons (9715 kg) of relief materials upon request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal. Adhering to its CSR commitments, Himalaya has contributed a total of USD 106,850.00 equivalent to Rupees 1.25 crores approximately to the noble cause by operating the flight free of cost.

Reinforcing the association with Prayas Nepal, Himalaya Airlines continued its CSR support for ‘Step towards Education’ with year-long educational supplies for the fifth year in a row. During a brief interaction program held on Sept 29, 2021, Himalaya Airlines officials handed over the stationaries including notebooks, registers, pens etc. and the academic course books for various grades to the children of Prayas Nepal. The airlines also provided different educative COVID-19 safety posters for display in the organization to increase awareness of the safety protocols.
