Himalaya Airlines' Annual "Step Towards Education" Campaign Adhering to its core CSR objective of Societal Responsibility, Himalaya Airlines, continued its annual contribution to Prayas Nepal under the "Step Towards Education" campaign.
Taking further its “Step Towards Education” campaign under its Corporate Social Responsibility, Himalaya Airlines made a significant contribution for the renovation of kitchen and dining facilities of Lowa Prasad Bal Griha, a non-governmental and non-political social organization operated by Lowa Prasad Sudhar Sangh for the orphan and underprivileged children.
Himalaya Airlines Pvt. Ltd., committed to fulfill its core CSR objective of Societal Responsibility took steps to enforce its CSR activities in the healthcare sector. At the handover ceremony held on July 16, 2023, Mr. Zhou Enyong, President of the airlines handed over a 2-ton standing Air Conditioner to Mr. Samden Lama Chairperson and Dr. Kailash Kumar Bhandari, Medical Director of NDA-Nepal Orthopedic Hospital.
The officials of Himalaya Airlines visited Prayas Nepal on February 18, 2017 and had a lively interaction with the children and officials of organization. The children welcomed the H9 officials’ team with their heartwarming smiles along with traditional Tika and Khada. The overwhelming excitement of the children was seen through their dancing and singing performance.
The officials of Himalaya Airlines supported the in Walk-a-Thon held on February 17, 2018 along with 170 participants from different corporate organizations and communities and had lively interactions with the team.
Marking the special occasion of New Year 2075 BS and as a part of the 3rd Anniversary celebrations, Himalaya Airlines reinforced its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by extending its association with Prayas Nepal once again, by contributing kitchen utilities and a yearlong supply of notebooks for their children, for their new educational year of 2075-76 - as requested by the organization.
As a part of its annual CSR commitment of 2020 towards Prayas Nepal, Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture, yet again extended its support to the children of the organization under its CSR banner. The Airlines donated yearlong supply of notebooks on the New Year Eve. Considering the ongoing pandemic, the Airlines this year prudently added the COVID-19 essential supplies as well to the contribution.
On the occasion of Nepalese New Year 2076, Himalaya Airlines, an international air carrier of Nepal fortified its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of contributing for the betterment of the society. On April 20, 2019, Himalaya Airlines yet again strengthened its CSR ties with Prayas Nepal, with continued support of year-long educational and snacks supplies, for the new educational year 2076.
Moving one step ahead in its CSR undertakings to support the nation, Himalaya Airlines operated its first humanitarian flight to Kabul, Afghanistan today, carrying 9.7 tons (9715 kg) of relief materials upon request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal. Adhering to its CSR commitments, Himalaya has contributed a total of USD 106,850.00 equivalent to Rupees 1.25 crores approximately to the noble cause by operating the flight free of cost.
